WITH reference to your office endorsement No., dated 12th Janu- ary 1887, calling for a report regarding the working of section 31 of the European Vagrancy Act (IX of 1874), I am directed to state that, so far as the Hyderabad Assigned Districts are concerned, it has never been found necessary to have recourse to the provisions of the section in question.
